Emergency
repair job on the ramps from NB and SB 75 to EB I-94
This is the bridge
that was damaged by a tanker truck fire in early Oct of 2003.
Work involves the removal and replacement of 4
spans of bridge deck and 4 bridge piers.
The bridge spans will be supported by new steel beams. Three of the four spans of new beams have been fabricated and
delivered to the site. Delivery
of the fourth span is scheduled for delivery on March 19, 2004.
The job starting date was March 3 at 12:01 a.m. and
job is to be completed in 30 calendar days.
The project is on an accelerated schedule because
MDOT has placed a high value on each workday required to complete the
project. We plan to work 7
days a week round the clock or as necessary to maintain the schedule.
